Cosmic Slop is a Leeds party that has been raising money for the charity MAP (Music and Arts Production) since 2009. The fundraising events take place in the gallery space of Hope House, a beautiful grade II listed building on Mabgate.
The events play host to some of the finest local selectors and internationally acclaimed DJ’s alike, playing records through the acclaimed Cosmic Slop Soundsystem. Johnny Cosmic provides a new illustration for each event, and the in-house printers use these designs for flyers, posters and t-shirts, generating income for the charity. The funds raised support the MAP Education project which offers BTEC qualifications in art and music to young people who are at risk of exclusion from the mainstream school system.
